What to do with my life?
It’s a question of life purpose. Many of us believe we should have a purpose in life. So we go around asking, “What should I do with my life?”
No one can answer that one for you because there is no answer beyond what you decide. And not to add insult to injury, but you are not 100% in control of what you decide. Decisions are deeply unconscious processes.
If I were asking what to do with my life, I’d approach the question this way…
Discovering what to do with my life is only possible after achieving a certain level of inner alignment. The problem is, we’re naturally misaligned – full of inner conflict. As mentioned on PsychCentral.com, inner conflict is our most important issue.
So, start to flush out the opposing parts within yourself. Here’s how.
Begin by pondering the question: What to do with my life?
Next, notice your natural thoughts and feelings that arise immediately following the question. Does it inspire excitement, discouragement, fear, anger? Do you hear an inner voice that says something like:
- You’ll never figure it out.
- Give up.
- Go to hell.
These aren’t nice things to say, but let’s face it. Everyone has an inner critic.
The point of all this is that different parts of your psyche will surface in response to such an emotionally charge question.
And here’s the big revelation…
Those parts of you are keys to figuring out what to do with your life!
You may not see it this way now, but you don’t know what the hell you’re talking about. Just sayin’ – if you think these parts of you are obstacles, you’re ignorant.
