Notes on What Qualifies Me to Be a Board Certified Coach Instructor

board certified coach qualification

The iNLP Center is applying to be an accredited provider at the Center for Credentialing and Education, an NBCC affiliate.

This means that participants in the iNLP Center life coach training will be eligible to become Board Certified Coaches.

What’s a Board Certified Coach?

Life Coaching Press offered a good summary of what it is. Basically, it’s a life coaching credential. Coaches can become board certified as a professional designation that adds credibility to their coaching practice.

Not many consumers know about the Center for Credentialing and Education, but having the added professional credential does sound good:) And informed consumers will know that their life coach has been vetted by a third party who also vetted the life coach’s training institute.

My Notes on Qualification

So here goes. What qualifies me to teach life coaching courses that are accredited under the designation Board Certified Coach? I need to write a paragraph that shows my stuff. Here goes:

I am qualified to teach life coaching courses that are accredited by the Center for Credentialing and Education due to my 25 years experience teaching Neuro-Linguistic Programming or NLP in a wide variety of professional settings.

I’ve taught NLP and life coaching programs for:

  • The public, conducting over 100 formal, in-person certification courses
  • Continuing education companies in the US and Japan
  • Fortune 100 companies like Microsoft, Sprint, and Intel
  • Government organizations like Los Alamos National Labs and Sandia National Labs
  • As a guest trainer for various organizations like the American Society of Training and Development
  • Online, personally teaching over 1000 classes since 2011 at the iNLP Center

I’ve always maintained strict professional standards and adhered to the highest ethical standards in teaching communication skills and strategies that increase personal influence.

This a rough draft summary of part of the application, which will include a thorough review of my curriculum vitae as well as an audit of the iNLP Center life coaching and NLP certification courses.
